But is it enough to only blame ourselves?

Conceptualizer And Producer:
Dega Dev kumar Reddy was a student of Rishi Valley School. The founder of Rishi Valley School, modern thinker J. Krishnamurti’s teachings continue to inspire him. As a producer of feature films and as an ardent admirer of classical dance and music, he was able to put his resources into the creation of a Centre for Classical Arts near Hosur. Living in tune with nature is an aspect he always insists upon. Producer’s Vision Jiddu Krishnamurti’s Works speak of the many truths in life, which everyone can relate to and I am not an exception. This intense feeling drove me to do things that were in someway related to Krishnamurti’s philosophy; I got myself associated with schools offering different kind of education, produced films and started Retreat centres, which were nature-centric. Krishnamurti’s books such as “Commentaries on living” inspired me and affected my life deeply. I wanted to share the profound message of Krishnamurti’s teachings with as many serious people as possible. But I discovered that there are many individuals who were not able to understand Krishnamurti’s teachings. They found Krishnamurti’s teachings impractical, abstract and difficult. I was wondering whether it is possible to break this misconception about the great philosopher and his teachings. Since Krishnamurti has spoken and written so much about human problems like fear, suffering, violence, hurt, jealousy, love and death, I felt these problems and emotions can be communicated effectively through the medium of dance and music. Hence I chose traditional Indian dance and music. The splendor and aura of Indian classical music and dance cannot go unnoticed, and hence with my team of writer, translator and committed artists, the concept was born. Having done a rough concept I took it to Mrs. Aruna Sivaramakrishna who along with Sivaramakrishna has conceived the concept and she fine-tuned the idea and together took up the task of gathering a galaxy of artists who will perform at the event.
B. Sivaramakrishna Rao is a musical genius to reckon with in Chennai. A child prodigy with tuneful genes, he has built on natural musical endowments to evolve into a multifariously talented Sitarist and a music composer. Sivaramakrishna began learning from his musician father B. Sudarshana Rao at the age of seven and thereafter trained rigorously under Pandit Subba Rao, a reputed Sitar and Rudra Veena exponent. The most defining moment of Sivaramakrishna’s musical growth was his tutelage under Ustad Ahmad Hussain Khan, an exponent of the Mian Achpal Gharana. Composing music for a wide range of musical styles, Sivaramakrishna has an enviable repertoire of albums to his credit. ‘Classical Fusion’, ‘Carnatic in Sitar’, ‘Healin Ragas’ are some of his creations that would vouch for his ingenious musical abilities. A natural verve for music and a creative mind that seeks to expand to new horizons. At the hands of masterly composer, music can become transcendental. “SPA sounds for” a series of albums for Peace, Tranquility, Harmony, Sensuousness, Bliss, Revitalize & Healing released by Super Audio Company and several other albums like Kamasutra music, Essence of India, Meditation Ragas are some of the outstanding works. His wife Aruna ably supports him in his musical journey. Sivaramakrishna and Aruna together have conceived and produced the highly successful ‘Learn to Play’ video series.
